hi! i'm blogging really late at night because i think i've actually caught something from my mom, so i've been sleeping all day. my throat hurts a lot. but i'm gonna be posting the pictures of the e.l.f. products i bought in this blog :]
as you can see, i got a LOT of stuff! they're all laid out on my steve madden boot lid :P
without flash is a lot better. haha. i have over 17 brushes :P i'm so obsessed with them and i practiced yesterday on putting makeup on my sister and me! teeheehee. i used the eyeshadows already and they're really good colors. super pigmented so when it goes on my eyes it shows without me having to keep packing on the color. i used the concealer and the tinted moisturizer that i got also and they were really sheer for me. i generally use mac for my base (i actually just bought 80 bucks worth of mac because of their sumo savings thing online..) ugh! but yea. the eyelash curlers are better than the one i get from lancome also! the bronzer i bought in sunkissed is really cute. it makes me look super girly and cute when i use it. and the shimmering facial whips and all over color stick. i'm not sure what to do with those.. i used the lilac petal whip for the base of my eyeshadow and it was cool. idk if i'd use it for my face. and the sticks are super cute but i generally don't like creme blushes? i'll have to get used to having a highlighted face as a look for this summer. i generally have a matte look with blush and bronzer for conturing so it's more of a winter look.
this is the mauve luxe lipgloss i was telling you about. it is super purple-ish but the consistency is soo goood and it smells really pretty, like grape soda :] it also looks really nice on my lips so it's my new favorite lipgloss. i like it a lot more than my lancome spring fling and that one was 18 bucks! blehhh :[ the other color i got in the e.l.f. lipgloss was called candlelight and it's a bit tooo shimmery for me i guess? i can probably try to mix it with a matte lipstick and hopefuly it will look a lot better. i need to stop though, i have so many lipglosses :[ i kinda regret not buying the lip plumpers and liquid lipstick they had on their site. ahhh, i just bought about 5 lipglosses from victoria secret tho. i don't like their consistencies at all tho, blech!
this is that makeup box thing i had mentioned in my previous blog. i accidentally dug my fingernail into the black eyeshadow so now there's a chunk of it missing. i did that to the bronzer too :[ the box when closed is really cute and i'm like in love with it. i don't really like the lip stuff that is in it because it smells like.. cheap lip stuff. haha, so i'm only intending on using it for the eyeshadow/blush/bronzer/eyebrow. the lip part will be for dire emergencies if i can't find a lipgloss which is not going to happen.
this is the bee-pact (my name + compact = bee-pact!) that i customized! it's kinda like the MAC customizing eyeshadow pallette for waaay cheaper. everything like i said was $1, the compact included and then you just add the eyeshadow pans on the inside yourself. MAC on the otherhand, the compact is 12 dollars and each eyeshadow pan is 11 bucks. i got all eyeshadow instead of mixing and matching with lip and blush. i'm kinda sad that they don't have a large variety of colors for eyeshadow like mac, but hey! for a $1, i'm happy :] i had also previously been a model for HOTHEADS EXTENSIONS at IBS 2009 Las Vegas and had run into the NYX booth. i picked up around 15 of their eyeshadows. i chose the little square boxes that are quilted and the jars of powdery shimmer shadow. the colors i chose reminded me a lot of the mac bisque and gorgeous gold. but since it's a loose shadow, it's really messy :/
OVERALL, i fell in love with the brushes. everyone was raving about the eyeshadow brush and it definitely lives up to it. i also got the kabuki brush and it's super soft! for the eyeshadow and blending brushes, i definitely have to practice with those more. the lipgloss that i didnt even order is now my favorite, the blotting sheets work soo well, it's gross. haha. the eyelash curler is wide and allows even fake eyelashes to be curled, some curlers are so small my eyelashes get crushed rather than curled. the all over color sticks and facial whips are an okay buy. bronzer is definitely something i'm glad i bought for summer. eyeshadows make me super happy! the concealer and tinted moisturizer are actually kind of a disappointment. maybe if i layer it i'll get the desired look, but then i'll just feel gross.
haha, i sound like a makeup addict but i'm not really. i hope. but yea, for the MAC things i bought online a few days ago, hopefully they get shipped soon :] i bought the studio fix + foundation compact, the matte tube, the fluidline eyeliner (idk how to use that but i wanna learn) and the studio sculpt foundation. i wanted to get the studio tech for my photoshoots but i kept debating and in the end it lost. i got the eyeliner instead.. :/ i think i regret it but i can't do anything about it anymore. hopefully the studio sculpt will look amazing when i take photos again :]]
